Blogmas Day 3 – Winter Weather Survival

December may bring us Christmas, but it also brings us winter. Winter can be the cause of a lot of chronic pain, and can irritate raynauds symptoms, so I’ve found some items to help you stay cosy and in less pain this winter.

Cut off gloves. These sparkly blue cut off gloves look great for staying warm, but still allowing you to use your hands. Perfect for those days where the cold is getting to your hands or wrists but you still need to use your hands and can’t wear gloves. You’ll find them in Accessorize and Next, for £14.

A cosy throw. This grey polar bear and penguin sherpa throw will keep you warm all winter. Perfect for days at home or for keeping you warm in a wheelchair, as it’s machine washable and super soft. Add a little christmas cheer to your naps and pick this throw up in Asda for £11.

Slipper socks. Perfect for those of us with icy feet, and available in some extremely cute, and bright designs! These are a must for me in the winter, I can’t be without them. These teddy bear style slipper socks from Dunelm look warm and like the softest things in the world, I think everyone needs a pair, especially as they’re only £6.

A Bundle Bean wheelchair cosy. Keep your legs warm and dry with a Bundle Bean cosy, which easily attaches over the footrests of your wheelchair, looking a lot like a sleeping bag. The fleece lining is super soft against your legs and keeps your hands warm in the fleece lined pocket. They also come in plain black or in other adorable designs, I love it! Order online from Bundle Bean, for £44.99.

Heatable teddies. Heat pads are a must for staying warm and as pain free as possible, and why not go all out and buy the cutest heatables around? They seem to be everywhere this Christmas, whether you want a panda, a unicorn, a dog, a dragon or a sheep, you’ll be able to pick them up easily. There are many in Dunelm in both regular sizes for £12, or mini sizes for £6, and in Sainsburys for £10.

Beat the pain in style this winter! What are you must haves for the cold weather?
